New year's nails

Tonight I go to a party with the themes (yes, strange indeed two themes, but you have lots of useful choices) glitz&glam and black&white. I chose for black glam with a glittertwist, then we have the color white at least, but I decided, I'm white myself ;)! I chose a long, tight blacksleeveless velvet dress with an open back that I've worked with crossed straps. Underneath I wear suede black pumps and I choose a beautiful silver frost clutch, or I'm going for my black suede clutch with leopard print and a gold clasp. My nails have to match perfectly with my outfit. That's why I go for the golden/black nail polish with the panther or make it silver/black when I for the other clutch.

Get the Chanel Bombay look

For the Chanel 2012 Paris-Bombay Métiers d’Art Show Makeup, Peter Philips, Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup emphasized the eyes using heavy duty black pencil and shadows for a dramatic and ultra posh look.
The face was kept clean and natural.  Though some of the colors don’t launch until next year, we’ve got  breakdown of what was used. 

GET THE LOOK
Peter Philips is first smeared with Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum. A drop of Perfection Chanel Lumière foundation over it, and the base is almost finished. Then the skin will considerably dusted with the brand new Route des Indes.

The black-brown eye shadow was the real eye catcher and was anything but sparing the eyes lubricated. A firm line waterproof eyeliner (Stylo Yeux in Ebène), a black kohl pencil (Chanel Le Crayon Kohl Black No. 61) and Inimitable Mascara Noir Intense 10 made your eyes ​​ultimate black.

The cheeks blush a good tuft (Joues Contraste Brume D'Or No. 03) on the lips and the sweet pink lipstick Rouge Coco Shine et voilà.

Fittings Chanel; Paris-Bombay métiers d'art 2011/2012

Chanel recently unveiled its Paris-Bombay Metiers d’Art collection at the Grand Palais in Paris, where the Galerie Courbe was transformed for the day into a luxurious Maharaja’s palace.

The collection is beautiful. Not even the collectione actually, you have to see the show!! The models walked on a catwalk that was split by a beautiful long table filled with cakes, sweets and more!

Signature tweed swathed in a ruby sheen contrasts with metal capsules embroidered on the back of a criss-cross collarEvery year since 2002, Chanel has used the Metiers d’Art show as an opportunity to showcase its craftsmanship.

The artisanal crafts of embroidery, leather work, featherwork, boot-making, millinery, and gold and silversmithery are represented by Lesage, Montex, Desrues, Lemarié, Massaro, Michel and Goossens.

Under the glow of chandeliers and ceiling lights, the Paris-Bombay collection 2011/12 was supposed to evoke a new femininity.

“The charm of India, the pomp and splendour of fabrics and the magic of gemstones intermingle with the Chanel aesthetic of cascading pearls, contrasting black and white, and braided tweed jackets,” according to Chanel.

The silhouette emerges in soft shoulders, flared panelled skirts, a gold-embroidered tweed dress with kimono sleeves or painted with a flowerbed motif swaddled in layers of lace and muslin.

The sari look is supposed to create a modern masculine-feminine concept, inspired by Maharajah style, and very feminine with a dainty jacket with diamante epaulettes.

Inspired by the achkan, the brocade jacket with Nehru collar is manifested here in a series of alter-egos: a gold-embroidered darted jacket with pearl braiding, a white plastron jacket with mirror-embroidered pockets, a darted half-belt jacket with baroque-pearl-studded collar, a riding jacket and crested blazers with tailored shoulders.

Jewel-buttons, jewelled bindis adorning the forehead, splashes of pink, and leather thigh-boot flats stamped with Arabesque motifs were chosen to set off luxuriant materials: duchesse satin, silk, brocade and crepe.

Karl Lagerfeld sent out the collection with an embroidered ivory silk crepe dress draped over the body and head.

In the Groninger Museum is now the exhibition 'Azzedine Alaïa in the 21st century'.
I went this afternoon with my mother who also loves fashion.
The garments are all wonderful! Remarkable is, every piece is wearable!

Ombré hair

I know I know, I just painted my hair. But! I'm still considering to paint it again. 
In fact, I am in love with this hairstyle. They call this Ombré hair, it means that your hair is dark on the roots and it has much lighter shades at the end.

The funny thing I like of the parka, is that you can combine it with almost everything! The jacket is very sophisticated and gives your outfit an edgy twist.

December cravings

Oeffff, there are tooooo many things on my whislist for December. I haven't found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow yet, but hopefully Santa can help me a little bit? I had the first look in my mind for new years eve, I think we go to a masquerade ball, so this outfit would be perfect! I only have to look for the perfect mask :)! I think I would wear the second look with our christmasdinner! It's is nice and simple, but classy aswell!

Denim chic

Denim is iets wat altijd terugkeert. Iedereen herkent vast wel het feit dat je in een bepaalde jeans figuurlijk bent vastgegroeid en hoe vaker je de broek draagt, hoe mooier deze jeans meestal wordt.

Wat ideaal is aan de denim look, is dat je deze op verschillende manieren kan interpreteren. Je kan het heel simpel houden met een basic shirtje, maar je kan ook voor een ruige look gaan met een stoere wassen en gaten in de broek. Wat ook kan en wat ik erg leuk vind, is om denim op een chique manier te combineren!
